3rd time here and always worth a stop to have a look at it. The only one left in Normandie, and only 2 in France. Sometimes tricky to find depending on where you are coming from. Basically, it is on the route D979 as you...More

This was a really unusual find along the roadway. We spent a delightful half and hour taking photographs of the family on, off, in and around the tank. There is a parking area right next to it and rubbish bins around if you wanted to...More

Amazing tiger tank that was abandoned at the side of the road. The locals put together to stop this being scrapped. Well worth a visit!

This tank is located in a great location. It's an enormous machine which was saved from destruction after the war. The locals in the town are really nice and it's worth a visit if you are going that way.

Way out in the middle of nowhere is this tiger tank. It took us 2 days to find it but it was worth it to see a Tiger tank up close. Very well preserved - it just ran out of gas and was left behind....More

Just parked of the road it is free to visit. If you are in the neighborhood well worth a 10 minute break. You can climb on it and do pretty much what you like (it is kind of hard to damage a Tiger :) )....More

A dream come true, to be able to climb onto an actual tank used in World War II. Located at the side of the D979 just 1km south of the centre of Vimoutiers, there is plenty of car parking spaces to pull over. The site...More
