As an adult beginner I was always made to feel very welcome and comfortable.
Carla and Chantelle are always friendly and both of them extremely capable instructors, you always feel very safe and in good hands.
As a very rusty ‘mature’ rider I found Chantal hugely helpful and encouraging. In one 30 minute lesson her teaching enabled me to find a good position in the saddle again. I feel more confident - and had fun! I came away with a huge...More
I would not recommend this riding school. I booked a stable morning for a French student who was 12 and then the student booking was changed to a 16 year old. So I called the stables to see if the stable morning would still be...More
I had my 1st ever riding lesson the other day at Happy Valley after being recommended to it.
Chantelle was very patient & explained everything in plain English.
The 45 minute private lesson flew by & just being on a horse & trotting round a...More
We organised a birthday riding experience at Happy Valley for my daughter and a small group of friends and had a wonderful time. The girls had a great first experience of grooming and then riding ponies and they really loved it all. There was plenty...More
My grandchildren love spending a day at Happy Valley riding and mucking out. The children learn about caring for horses as well as riding and the fact that they can ride out onto the Downs without needing to go on a road is really special
Dropped out two children off here for a stable day which introduced them to horses, safety and grooming. They had a great day and didn't even notice when we turned up to collect them.
Stable day 9am-1pm, £30 per child. Pack lunch and wellies essential.
Nicely kept stables, but horses were obviously very tired. When asked the coach, was told their horses go out up to five times a day on weekends. This is something I don't support and won't be going back.
