Seems like this town is not so popular like other destinations around but it definitely worth visit! We were been there in September end, "no season" when all the cable-cars in the area were closed. This cable car operates all year around, from the morning...More

The cable car stopped for almost 45 minutes on air, which caused the waiting lines to grow rapidly. On the way back, additional electrical malfunction happened. All together, almost 3 hours lost. There wasn't any capable technician or engineer to take care of problems. At...More

Great views, take the Cable car (Funivia) from Buisson to the village Chamois, its right on the main road to Breuil-Cervinia (Matterhorn), with ample free parking (April). Their site says €2.00 return, its really €4.00 each adult return ticket. Standing only, the trip is around...More

A very quite and calm village that can only be reached by cable car. Lovely to take cable car, have a good walk (many well indicated trails in different levels of difficulty) and have a lunch of dinner to top off this magnificent experience. Advise:...More

Beautiful scenery in every direction. The cable car ride is short, no more than ten minutes, and is a surprising two euro, round-trip. Once up in the village of Chamois, there are great views back down the valley and on up the mountain. We visited...More

Quiet streets and cute traditional houses. Too quiet to find any services. The cable car is only two Euro round trip per person.

I visited Chamois in the month of February. This time of year, the gondola is your way in and out of the village. If you are skiing or snowboarding with the regional pass for Valle D'Aosta, Chamois is one of the minor locations included as...More

Amazing village at 1900 mt altitude. There's no car access. You can reach the place with a cable car that runs more often than every 30 minutes. At the beginning of August there's a music festival, completely free, called CHAMOISic which runs for four days with concerts...More

Take path 107, very scenic. Or you can take the funicular to the top. Well worth a trip if only to stroll around the village and on the walking paths.
