Often French churches can be rather gloomy but this church uses a light local stone that gives an altogether different experience. Note the wooden choir seats which support you even when standing.

This is a nice church in Montresor with the tomb of Imbert de Bastarney inside. The tomb has a beautiful stone carving of him and his wife in repose on top. He was famous for negotiating the marriages of Charles VIII, Louis XII, and Francois...More

It is a fairly well preserved Cathedral and interestingly different with the white interior. Beautiful stained glass windows.

We came here at the suggestion of the owner of Chateau Montresor nearby. It certainly was a good suggestion as we enjoyed the stained glass windows and the tombs.Tours are available and last about half an hour.
