The last Polish royal family lived here and all are buried in the adjoining church which is a good 15 minute visit. The wooden chandelier in the main room is a wonder. Parking not a problem. Check for opening times.

Wander behind the chateau along the river bank via the old bridge. On a sunny afternoon the chateau's reflections in the river are lovely - free. There are two prices to enter the chateau - one for inside and gardens or just gardens.

This is a living museum; all of the ornaments and furniture is still there to see. Take your time and enjoy the sights.
