Delightful setting and lovely gardens which provided entertainment for the 9 children between babies and 14 years of age. Beautiful planting which impressed the gardeners among us. The rooms of the Chateau were lovely. Well worth a visit.

We were told about this chateau with hundreds of David Austin roses. Even though we visited the gardens in the autumn we were delighted to see and smell beautiful roses and the "Fairy" gardens were still great on a warm September day. The rooms inside...More

We went here with our 1 and 6 year old and I think for them it was probably the perfect chateau with the fairytale theme. We paid the extra 4.5 euros so my eldest could dress as a medieval knight which he seemed to enjoy...More

You would walk along and suddenly find a load of hammocks in the trees or walking trees. The gardens are beautiful but even they are filled with giant wellies flowerpots and a watering can. The cafè is nice too. A dog friendly place in the...More

One of the least known Loire castles, but a beautiful discovery far from mass tourism. The building is well restored, the rooms mixtent period furniture and art exhibition, the gardens are also very pleasant. Everything is made to spend a good time with family!

This place is quirky, the gardens are a wonderland of figures, scenes, art and fairy stories. I found it amazing to walk around and I am sure you miss loads. The gardens are the main attraction, they are not brilliant from an horticultural perspective, nor...More

Thanks for your comment ! We're glad you enjoyed your visit of the gardens with its art and stories. The castle is still lived-in; so visitors only have access to the seigneurial dwelling. We are pleased that you came back with good memories. Best regards...More

Came here with my husband and three kids on a chilly rainy morning and had a great hour or so visiting the gardens and chateau itself. It’s certainly not your typical French chateau - and this was very much part of the appeal. Disappointingly our...More
