It's definitely in first five of the beautiest mountain roads I've passed. It requires courage to get there by car, but it's really worth it.

we drove over coming from the Italian side. great views. several very narrow dark tunnels, where you need to use a horn to make others aware of you... and thus avoid accidents... not a pass for caravan or big cars enjoy!

Good ride, Swiss roads in good condition but the hairpin bends on the Italien side were ready for some remedial work. They are very tight anyway but a few people where having trouble getting round the bends with the oncoming traffic, we almost came off...More

Towing a caravan, first experience was 2 Swiss police who seemed to appear from nowhere and pulled us over for speeding uphill! Chf120 later we asked if this was the best route to go to Italy. They said yes.... A few miles and mini heart...More
