Great honey at reasonable prices
Jan 2019
We've purchased honey from the farmyard honey factory many times now and we always walk away with a 5 liter bucket. Great value and amazing honey.

Perfect pure raw Honey - an asset to Wolseley

I love the honey we get from the Farmyard Honey factory. Phirdy offers a great service and produces lovely wholesome pure unadulterated honey and is an asset to our town and valley.

Shameful
Dec 2017 • Couples
My wife and I drove from Cape Town to this place with high expectations as its name "honey factory " suggested at least a factory of some sort. In reality, this place is a wooden shack beside the road. The staff on duty was loitering outside when we drove in the driveway. There's no smile nor simple greetings. The shelves have limited products and weren't neatly arranged either. We were not offered free tasters and we decided not to even request as the staff was clearly indifferent towards visitors.
This is by far our worst experience of any shop that sells honey.

Unimaginative

I thought I would experience honey in all its golden glory but it was a bit of a disappointment unfortunately. Not much product on the shelves and the patron was not very enthusiastic in encouraging a potential clients to purchase goods in store.

Good day Thank you for your comments. I'm so sorry that you had an unpleasant experience. Any concerns or issues with our staff will certainly be dealt with. Currently honey is in very short supply in the country - an indication of the reality and challenges of dying bee colonies. We try to harvest as much as we can from different foraging sites but are limited to what nature currently has to offer (the drought in the Western Cape not having been of any help). Therefore you will sometimes experience that there is very little product and sometimes we will have only one type of honey. Other times we may have five or six different types and honey will be in overflow - depending, once again, on the time of year and conditions. I certainly hope that you will consider popping in again if you happen to be in the area. Phirdy

Honey for my Honey
Dec 2016 • Friends
We stocked up on our honey supply for home. The staff were friendly helpful welcoming & informative. We were given little tasters so we knew what we were buying. The honey is fresh (ours was harvested the day before)
There's also a range of wonderful body products.

A bee utiful experience
Jul 2016
My sister & I discovered The Farmyard Honey Factory 2 years ago, and revisited it again, in July this year.
What a delightful visit. Ferdi, the owner and ' beekeeper ' Is a beautiful and charming person, and it is great to talk to a genuine person, who knows what entails owning apiaries, harvesting the honey, and producing wonderful products. We felt like walking into a Magic Cave ! The nuts in honey, sun kissed honey, the body butters and honey candles, all lovingly made, are a credit to Ferdi and her family. May she go from success to success.

The best little honeypot
Feb 2016 • Couples
Spotted this roadside attraction on the way back from Ceres and what a treat! Enter into a cool and shady room filled with gorgeous aromas of honey and florals. To the far left behind glass the girls can be seen busily working. In front to the left are shelves of honey and products incorporating honey made by the girls.Lip balms, handcream. shower products in varying aromas ,aqueous cream, soap.and honey from many single source such as fynbos or lavender or mixed varieties regular or creamed varieties in either traditional jar or squeezy bottle, both plastic so great for travel. Also jars of cashews in honey and honeycomb. On the right is all the equipment you need for beekeeping. At the desk samples are available to try. I tried my handcream purchase when I got in my car and just had to go and buy another two!! The creamed honey is divine. Lovely products and staff, well done girls.
