Coming back from Home Depot, I stopped off here for a walk through the trail. Good for exercise and nice view of nature.

Such a small woodlot, but with plenty of treasures be it 8 different oak trees, woodpeckers, and raptors. Be careful in the Spring, this place floods and then the mosquito population explodes.

Lots of woodpeckers and mosquitoes here. Circular paths in this charming crop of trees. Staggering number of oak species too.

Centrally located in the heart of the city this is a nice natural area for all. Great for walks and runs. Nice trails throughout. Put on mosquito repellent during summertime. Recommended.

The conservation area was a great place to go for a hike. However, bring some insect repellent or you will be eaten alive.

Perfect place for pictures of nature around you. The paths are wide and the frogs will serenade you. So close yet so dense. Love it there

OK, so we are fans of winter tracking--that is walking through the woods searching for animal tracks and scat. This little hobby also allows us the excuse to winter walk in the woods when there are fewer people and more opportunities to spot wildlife. This...More
