Enjoyed walking along the paths that run beside the Rideau Canal and down to the historic Bytown Museum. Contrary to website info, they are not open until 8 pm. Disappointed to arrive just as they were closing.

Love the Rideau Canal especially in the winter. It is the best outdoor skating rink in Canada. Although I fell and broke my wrist I can't wait to get back out there again this season.

Canal is a beautiful sight. Water has been lowered right now getting ready for the Winter freeze. Soon we will be enjoying the great scenery on skates instead of walking along the boardwalk!
