Super fun time exploring the canal. 9 locks bring boats up and down from the top of the canal to the river in 30 minutes according to one of the workers of the locks.

It's very long so you can choose how long you'd like to go for. A lot of it is very flat. It's somewhat lit up at night so even an evening stroll is nice.

If you're coming to Ottawa, a visit to the historic Rideau Canal is a must! Snaking and making its way gracefully through Ottawa's charming downtown core. In summer lots of boats, sailing and canoing, in the winter is an ice skatiing place.
