Went here for the Vancouver Writers festival and market visits. Lots of cool theatres, and stores. Nice artisan stores. Great restaurants. Beautiful views of the water. The public market is very cool. I'd recommend it as an attraction.

When I lived in Vancouver Granville Island was always one of my favourite day's out. The best way to get there is the bathtub ferries from the beach.

Well worth a visit. Either be brave and walk over the bridge or take a river taxi. They are frequent and cheap. Plenty of food stalls to choose from and a very good fresh food market. Lots of shops selling unusual gifts.

Nice to visit for a couple of hours. Lots of fresh produce stalls in the market itself and then various shops outside the market. A good selection of restaurants.
