Even less activity than when I came through here about a year ago.
The playground has been dug up, and construction fencing limits a fair bit of the views and walking areas. Most businesses appeared closed. Other than locals shopping for groceries or basic services, I'm not sure why anyone else would consider this a destination. I plan to return in about a year, and hope I have something more positive to report.

Just move into a newly completed Columbia at Brewery District built by WestGroup. They built a dining table for my suite with a lap room only allows a child to sit there. We told them the standard lap height in the industry is 12" whereas they built the table only leave lap height of 6 3/4". My husband is 6ft4in. and he can't even sit there to dine comfortably. We asked them to remedy it. They refused to correct it. A very poor builder and design. I would rather invest in the properties built by well reputation builders, like Concord Pacific, etc, but not WestGroup.

Don't see much change since I walked through here about two years ago. This is your basic neighbourhood shopping centre with food, drugs, reataurants, etc. If you are at the hospital across the street, you may wish to wait here and have coffee, etc.

Worth a visit if you need to go shopping or just enjoy a meal at one of the local restaurants. Quick walk from the Royal Columbian hospital, only thing is that vehicle parking is not free.

Close to hospital has some good coffee shops and places to sit and think about things if your waiting for doctor. There is a small park for kids to play at as well.

Why the name Brewery District? It has been years since the brewery corporation left! It is Sapperton as the Royal engineers established the area.

It's interesting to note that in the pastv merchants were trying to get away from being known in "Sapperton", and know it is oner of the hot spots in the lower mainland. How times change?

close to our new home. Store is clean and well stocked with all one needs in a drug store. Lots of parking under save on foods and at a reasonable price first hour is free.

The title tells the story - this is a great place to shop for basics, and has services and a good restaurant, some river view, but little else to make it a destination, especially for tourists.
