Wonderful Evening.
Me and my wife haven’t been to Dronfield for many years and we called in the cross daggers as a starting point of our evening after stumbling across this perfect tucked away pub.
Possibly the best pint of brains I’ve had in years. My wife had a G&T. We sat around the bar talking to who I believe was the landlord Tony and one bar staff nat. We could have sat there all night, Tony is very welcoming and knowledgeable of his hand pulls and Nat seemed to be the happiest and joyful person we’ve had the pleasure of meeting.
We were welcomed in by the locals who made us feel very at ease. A soiled pub environment. We are returning to the north in a few months with our older children and this will be the place we stay.
Thank you Tony And Staff!
Brilliant all round.

This is a pub well worth a visit. Draft beer at £3.30 a pint that's always good. No dogs or screaming children and the place is always welcoming. The bar staff are friendly and, as others have commented before, Anthony is a great host making you feel welcome at all times. Occasional free snacks at the bar, whether it's bread cakes & dripping or potato wedges add to the atmosphere. Do not miss the opportunity to visit a real pub and there's even a countdown to Christmas on the blackboard !

Anthony the land Lord here pretends to go glass collecting and then makes everyone he chats to feel welcome with his quirky humour. A great range of beers and quality gin range. This is an old fashioned pub with no entertainment or loud music just like minded people socialising over a drink..how novel hope it catches on!

Very friendly atmosphere. Beer is fantastic. Mine host Antony is a lovely chap and keeps a good cellar. Prices are good too! Cross Daggers is great for a Sunday lunchtime visit. My husband enjoys it too. Roast potatoes all round! Brilliant.

This is a real traditional English local. Small and friendly great landlord and staff. My only gripe is its always too hot but that's due to the number of people in there!
