A great start to a walk from new mills along the Goyt way . Follows the past The of the river for miles along a pretty good footpath. Definitely recommended . Good visitor centre in new mills for good guidance.

The Millenium Walkway allows you to walk along a beautiful and extremely picturesque gorge in New Mills. The walkway itself isn't that long, but it's a very pleasant experience. You don't really feel like you're in a town at all and the river is incredibly...More

Parked in the town and walked the Goyt Valley. Nice, quiet, scenic and mostly flat. Only downside was the amount of wet mud but I expected that as it was April. The walkway is an impressive construction.
