Excellent museum. A wide variety of local history displays, showing MK's history of rural agriculture with loads of artefacts and displays, and then progression. Really good mid 20th C shopping street. Very keen and friendly staff on hand to explain. Great for families, schools and...More

We took our 2yo yesterday and enjoyed an afternoon submerged in history. We started off in the music room where we were given a really engaging and interesting demonstration of all the music boxes. My little boy was made very welcome and the fantastic guide...More

Thanks for this review Charlie and your feedback on the lack of volunteers in some of the rooms. We've had three full weekends of big events lately so some of our volunteers have been taking a break before we get really busy again for the school...More

Not just a museum of MK but of past life and for many a trip down memory lane. Teenagers will hopefully realise that being "grounded" was a real punishment then. They will especially like the telephone room, where the mobiles required muscle just to lift them...More

Thanks for your lovely review and for the precious five stars. We're delighted you had a good time - and if you come across anyone happy to volunteer in our tea room (where everyone is a volunteer), do point them our way. We hope to...More

We visited as an extended family, and plenty to keep Grandparents, parents and children entertained. The History Festival was obviously the main attraction, but there is plenty to do in the main museum. Telephones to interact with, sweets to buy from the old sweet shop,...More

Great that you had such a good time and thank you very much for this review. We agree about the cream teas and, as you may have seen in other reviews, very much have an expansion of the tea room in hand.

Oh dear, I'm so sorry you were disappointed - and glad the rest of the visit was successful enough for you to still award us four out of five. We are very aware that our cafe facilities are no longer adequate for serving the huge...More

This museum really has something for everyone... The museum covers an amazing range of topics from the development of the telecommunications industry to transportation to excellent recreations of various businesses from Britain's past. How fantastic that the school had such a great time. We love inspiring young children to get involved with a museum in an active way - rather than just looking at things. thanks so much for taking the time to write a review Bhavita.

If they have an interest in history then it would. All the displays are interactive, and I think the telephone room would be a favourite.
