The centre is open for all and is an excellent place to buy glazed studio pottery. Artisans come and stay there as part of their internship. You can see how pots are made and kiln fired. Thiugh a small set up, Andretta studio pottery is much sought after in the country

Not a great experience!
I was there end of August after hearing so much hype about it I decided to visit it for sure and pick some ceramics as well as try and get in a short course.
I have know about this place for a long time now so it wasn’t something I was doing just because of their social media hype.
To my disappointment when I spoke to the owner Subham I found him really cold on the call (may have been busy) but didn’t find the enthusiasm to help me understand.
Then when I got to the studio the person who looks after the place Mr Rajkumar killed my whole vibe when I asked him how can I do a session and he said oh you can do but work won’t finish, then sending is even more expensive etc etc. Basically I guess it was a slow day because the next day they had a course starting and felt like it was a lazy easy day to do much and pay attention to ppl who come for a one time experience.
I understand that Andretta has now become a name for courses but then I mean the one time experience class should be scrapped.
Even when I made my purchase Mr Rajkumar said in the next 2-3 days you will get a call and we’ll send the parcel.
This was end of August 28/29th I guess and I had to follow up to even get it dispatched. I have had other parcels come in but not yet received my Andretta order (13th September) even if it was raining or whatever no update nothing. Such a large name and logistics aren’t in place. It’s really disappointing!
So Incase ordering to gift and have less time please avoid Andretta’s pieces.
All in all pieces are nice but I’m sure there can be a better way of handling customers and people who come for an experience.
Wasn’t really happy with my experience and would also recommend the other pottery studios around.
Thank you

I ofcourse had read about it a lot before visiting Andretta Pottery. Its a cute, quaint place with potters all around- the beginners and the experienced ones. It even houses a museum which will take you to pottery gathered from various countries, specially the Kangra one which truly inspired me to know more about the usage, shape and their colour. Shubham, the mentor who's been training people around gave me a hands on experience of making a bowl- once in a lifetime experience, took me through the museum- gave a detailed explanation about the process of making, heating, the pottery gathered from various parts of the world. They even offer various courses in pottery right from a 15 minute session to 1 day which stretches to 3 months. They have limited accommodation available for the learners. Do pitch him if you're keen in learning.

The sleepy village of Andretta of Palampur which make it special & distinct place The village is having many clay & pottery design studios which provides the learning session too Normally a learning session of 15 mts is of ₹150 bucks but this session is basically for visitors however I met several students who were looking to make this as a career The students were from across the geography & globe I met with one learner who was here in search of internal peace through pottery making despite pursuing a successful career in criminal law

No hospitality. Poor training and the team was busy in their own terms and we kept waiting for 40-45 months and then also they did not focused on us.

A really offbeat place on the way to bir. It was a fun experience doing/ learning pottery . Takes around 2 hrs in toto but it's totally worth it. The people over there are really sweet.

Visiting Andretta Pottery Palampur , was an absolutely different experience. As our group entered we were welcomed by the Manager Mr Rajkumar who offered services for hands-on experience on his machines . Each one of us made atleast one piece under his artisan’s guidance.... which was actually a spiritual soothing type of experience. Then they nicely explained the process of painting etc. Students of all walks of life and from different were doing internship there . It is a small setup in pure airy area full of gifts of nature with
greenery around and small stream of water flowing along ! Absolutely cool and cordial atmosphere there touches your soul .
