We’ve just spent 11 days on this attractive island and enjoyed it - we were lucky with our accommodation. However, it is time that the ‘only 3 cars’ myth was exploded - yes there may be only 3 cars .... but there are loads of...More

We took a pleasant 20 minute ferry ride from Iseo to Monte Isola. The ferry stops first at Sensole where you can walk to the larger village of Peschiera. The walk along the waterfront is very pleasant and you can admire the locals gardens full...More

Beautiful picturesque island unless cloudy. Can get humid and muggy. There are no cars on the island so be prepared to walk. We landed in Peschiara Maraglio, a small fishing village. Food is expensive here. Limited ferry service. Bring your walking shoes. Think hard before...More

The place is quite nice but locals drive their bikes and motorcycles thinking that they have to win a grand prix! Pay attention while walking, especially if you have babies!

The 'historic centre' is the village called Peschiera Maraglio that is the main village on this small island. The views from the boat are indeed nice and the village looks picturesque and quaint with plenty of Mediterranean trees and a lively lake shore. Off the...More

We spent 3 wonderful days in Iseo and sailed across to this haven of peace, quiet and fantastic scenery. We hired bikes and cycles round the island stopping off to take in the breathtaking views. Being motorcyclists we also did a tour of the whole...More

We walked for 9km around the island. The path is quite easy, it tooks three hours and a half with a lot of breaks, including lunch. You can also rent bicycles if you have kids or a few time. The view on the lake and...More
