About
Way out on the split ends of surfing's fringe, exists an anachronistic little wooden surfboard company where quality, respect for our roots and a belief in the sanctity of nature are cornerstones. Here we build wooden surfboards that are inspired by the intuited hydronamic genius of the ancient Hawaiian board builders.

I love this humble little place! The best coffee in Muizenberg and relaxed vibe are exactly what is needed after a beach walk.

I heard it once said that the measure of a good school is the degree to which it tolerates eccentrics. While I would not say that owner Cobus Joubert is an eccentric, he is sufficiently removed from the conventional to be an extremely interesting individual. Rolling Wood simply oozes character in concept, layout and food offering. Less is indeed more. This is an experience - do NOT miss it.

I love their drinks and the carrot cake is incredible but the wifi is so slow, I feel like I'm back in the 90s

If your into fresh organic tasty blends of food, slusshies, and very real coffee, then this hidden gem is for you.
The one negitive is that the tables are hard to work at due to their edge lip and they have a history of running out of certain food due to the very fresh nature, but it’s still totally worth coming and visiting this fresh and happening place. By far some of the tastiest food and drink I’ve ever had.

Shweet atmosphere, delicious coffee and easily the coolest boards on the Muizenberg strip. Give your soul a treat and check this place out.

Staying in Muizenberg for five weeks, I was desperate to find a coffee shop to use as a home base. Rolling Wood was such a godsend! It's a beautiful and roomy store with more to vend than just top notch cold brew coffee. They offer a variety of fresh (and healthy) juice and smoothies that they prepare right in front of you. Beverages aside, the shop has some incredible finds and merchandise from some select and high quality companies. The calm and friendly vibe of the shop is unparalleled and the service impeccable. Definitely worth popping into, whether it is for an Americano, some surfing wax, or the most divine carrot cake cupcake. Absolutely LOVE this store.
PS. They make a mean dirty chai.

The staff at Rolling Wood are some of the most friendly folks I met during my month stay in Muizenberg. They know their customers by name and they know what you like. The shop is a coffee/juice/bakery/surf and skate shop. It's always full of trendy people, surfers, locals and travelers. The wifi is fast and so is the service. I can't recommend Rolling Wood enough. Rolling Wood was my home away from home for a month because they treat you like family.

Having been in Muizenberg for a few months now, I couldn't imagine my stay without Rollingwood. This is my daily stop for quick wifi, the most amazing coffee drinks one could ask for, or a carrot cake that is baked fresh each morning. My personal favorite is their Wild Berry Smoothy as they use fresh fruit and pure love to prepare. If it's not just for the food and drinks, the personable staff that quickly become your friends are enough of a reason to continue returning to our home away from home.

A gallery of functional art made with local, natural materials. Taking surfing back to its roots and helping to preserve the planet we all love. If you are looking for quality and sustainability across surf gear, this is your go to shop. The kitchen serves a mean coffee and the 80year old baker Dion makes a carrot cake that will keep you coming back if surfing is not your thing.
