Amazing cenote
Jul 2021
Bring a mask or rent one - below the surface is amazing! The water felt great. We arrived around 9:30 and by 11am it started to get fairly crowded.

Don’t blink or you’ll miss it

Literally no signs on this place. So make sure you know exactly where it is. Your phones don’t work on the 3 G signal here so pin it on your map. So we went early and it was not crowded. Cost was 300 peso per person. There is nothing else there. No food no drinks so bring what you need. It’s pretty shaded. Once you go to the cenotes it is beautiful. Very cool to explore. Bring your own snorkel. Great picture opportunities. An hour is all you need as it is not all that much to explore. Quick surprise not only are there turtles but …bats.

Beautiful Cenote
Sep 2020
From the outside this place doesn't look like anything special, but when you walk in you feel a rush of excitement. Luckily, we went early morning on a Wednesday so we had this cenote all to ourselves. The price to enter was more than reasonable. We paid, showered before getting into the water. There is an option to pay for lockers and life jackets. The water is crystal clear and they had little turtles swimming around. Would recommend for travelers to go visit.

Gran Cenote

A really nice place ruined by too many people. Over commercialised and pretty expensive for what it is - screaming kids, people splashing water at the bats and birds and harassing the turtles.

If you're in Tulum its a must

This cenote was my favorite one , super clear cristal water , perfect for swimming , but if you are afraid of Depp water this cenote is for you too , because you have plenty options to walk with shallow waters .

CLOSES AT 4:20 NOT 4:45!
Jul 2021 • Family
The sign at the entrance and online information both say that Gran Cenote closes at 4:45. This is false. The greeter at the entrance told us that they ask you to get out of the water at 4:20 “in order to prepare for tomorrow”. This is a ridiculous and deceptive business practice. If they are asking people to get out of the water at 4:20, they should put on the sign and online information that the cenote closes at 4:20. I am irate, as we planned our day carefully and arrived at 3:45 in order to have one hour at the cenote. They were not willing to give a discount even though they were closing ahead of the time indicated on the sign. I think it is ridiculous that this is the most expensive cenote in the area, and that they are so deceptive in their practices. If they are going to charge so much, they should at least give good service.

Smaller cenote

This Cenote was nice but smaller compared to other ones I have been too. It does have a nice under cave area......also turtles swim around.

Great cenote but...
Jun 2021 • Solo
Its beautiful, clear blue water, but It’s getting way too crowded and commercialised. Also the price keeps jumping up like crazy - visited 6mnths ago and price gone up again! Ok if your here for a short holiday I guess, not long term travellers or those living in Mexico

One of the best cenotes!
May 2021
Clean, clear beautiful non-salty water in an ancient cave system. How amazing to swim there!! Helpful rope with buoys for nervous swimmers. Use the snorkel and goggles to see amazing underwater structures and marine life. There are some better cenotes but this is so beautiful.
