Some helpful details that we wish we knew: We went here in late January 2019 from Tulum (about 25 minutes north). The price is MX$81/person (for non locals/Mexicans). Additionally, the cenote was closed for restoration. We were told it closed at 4PM (due to rain...More

On our second attempt we found the gated turn off, we had arrived too early, don’t open till 10am. First down the beach and no turtles, seaweed a bit smelly. Beautiful bay, still some plastic rubbish, the caretakers don’t seem to do much, you do...More

We spent the day enjoying as much of this park as possible. You really can’t do it all in one day. The different sections are all laid out with coloured trails; so easy to navigate. There is a beautiful beach, great aviary but watch out...More

If your looking for that blue water beach to take some photos, this is defiantly it. Allot of beaches in Cancun, Playa, are slowly getting that kelp and sea weed creaping in but this beach is just amazing. colors really pop

We drove to Xcacel From Puerto Aventuras and were met by a locked gate at entrance from Highway 307. No explanation nor any sign to say why it was closed. Very disappointing

It’s locked at the main highway and being ravaged to construct a large hotel. It is no longer available and any wildlife that existed will be destroyed or leave the area. Gone, gone, gone.

It's a turtle sanctuary, restricted working hours from 8 to 5 , beautiful cenote next to the beach ..... admission is a donation for the park, perfect spot if you are going to Coba or tulum ruins.
