Has a good amount of silver articles, but I expected something more elaborate like the Grand Bazar in Istanbul and it is far away of it.

Good spot to buy good price silver

The market and some of the smaller stores around it are a good place to buy good price silver.

Best to shop around and don't forget to bargain. You can usually get 20% off the initial price without trying too hard. Mist of them quote 925 grade silver.

One of the most beautiful places in Mexico

The town of Taxco is fabulous, picturesque to a fault. The small restaurant right next to the cathedral (on the left) has the best pozzole I have ever had. The shops great,strolling amazing.Parking is a problem so be conscious of that.Locals are very friendly.

Huge place to walk around

This market place is huge!!!! But be careful because not all of it is silver so yo have to be sure that what your are buying is silver. If not sure, better get advice for a local person, let’s say someone from the hotel you are staying. Also, if you what to be SURE about the silver, have someone take you to a local workshop. That’s silver 100%

Get a guide...compare shops with underground silver market

The silver shops are great. Some are high end that have worked on reproduction of famous jewelry pieces such as those worn by Frida Khalo...and have won prizes.. Another option is getting a guide to take you to an underground silver market that had similar pieces for half the price and you can even negotiate... They especially start the important reductions when you try the ' walk away'.

It is the best place to shop ... one stop shop great prices and great quality silver ... you will not find cheaper prices of silver then in taxco ! So shop and have fun !

Yep, I'm not into shopping experiences, but the one in Taxco is worth it as the silver is cheap here. They sell both jewellery and all kinds of pots, plates, chandeliers, etc., anything silver, name it, they have it.
