Very good PV area with easy access
Nice upscale area near airport. Marriott was excellent, esp staff (Christian, Septimo, Hassa, Daniel, Martha, …). Several good walkable restaurants, incl. La Terrazza di Roma (Alvaro and Martin), Banana Fajita, and El Faro 36 Lighthouse. Ackua Spa nice for massage. Money exchange and varying rates was big problem. Bring small bills and change to pesos at airport. Low season is very humid and hot.

The Marina offers stores, restaurants, bars and flea markets once a week!
If you like Farmers Markets you have to go to the Marina Vallarta on Thursdays. Go early as the crowds will swell quickly. You can find crafts, jewellry, foods of all kinds and art work etc.

From Montana to Puerto Vallarta, Loved it!
Puerto Vallarta is an awesome destination for vacation! We had a great excursion experience with Vallarta Adventures, taking us to Yelapa and Majahuitas, feeding us, able to snorkel, kayak, ride a 4-wheeler, and visit some of the local community and vendors. The beach scene at Suyalita was a great vibe as well. A bit crowded, but the people are friendly and the food is excellent!

We love markets and so took an Uber from where we are staying to the Marina for the Thursday market. The stalls were filled with the same items we saw in Sayulita and along the Malecon. The restaurants were packed (so much so that we didn’t actually eat at the Marina!). It was nice to see a different, more modern and upscale, part of Puerto Vallarta, but probably not worth the Uber fare.

Nice place to go if like checking out the boats. We spent a couple of hours walking around the marina looking at the boats and investigating the stores and restaurants.

No need to visit the botanical park. We saw a crocodile in the water at the Marina. Lots of restaurants, but some of the food prices seemed almost as high as what I would pay in California.

Nice promenade with many restaurants. We ended up in Victor's Place and that was great, both food and drinks. Definitely recommended.

Love the marina. Rather go there to eat than downtown but love downtown for a nice 5 star dinner. Victors is great for breakfast. La Condesa has great food.
