Went to do the Open Water section of my PADI Instructor Exam. This was opportune as my mother lives in Whittlesea. I had not realised where Gildenburgh Water was until I booked my IE so now I know where it is, I will be back....More

The nickname Goldenbog kind of fits. The guano on the ramps may have gone but the portacabins were grim 20 years ago. Need to take a look at what is on offer at Andark Lake lakeside guys

Brilliant place to learn to dive. Wonderful people, great atmosphere, and highly professional dive tuition. If you are a new diver earning your C card or an experienced diver looking for further training, this is an excellent place to visit.

It is like they want the place to shut down. I have not dived in Gildy in about 5years and it never was a pleasant experience but convenient and less busy than Stoney cove. I don't know why they think it is acceptable to sweep...More

The lake is great for diving, with generally pretty good visibility, clean water and some interesting wrecks to investigate. The restaurant is fairly good, and is good value. There's a dive shop at the site, which is very well-stocked. I have never bought anything from...More
