A very enjoyable visit around the lighthouse, where Bones our guide was very informative of how it all worked. Walked from Niton village & got there just before it opened at 1pm. Well worth a visit.

Great guide, Great lighthouse - well worth a visit - it's not often you get to see a working lighthouse and can walk up to the lamp whilst it is rotating - ask to see the ghost picture !

Sadly, we arrived too late for a tour of the lighthouse. Nevertheless, we loved walking in the area around the lighthouse. A fantastic view. Really peaceful and a great place to sit for half an hour and read.....or enjoy the view. Hope to come again...More

We went with our 4 and 6 yrs olds. There are quite a few steps to climb (which they didn’t mind) and they enjoyed the tour. Have fun!

There are no records that list the personnel serving at each station, but you might want to try researching the Trinity House records held at the London Metropolitan Archives for mentions of specific personnel

The lighthouse is formally closed until 24 March, when it opens for the complete summer until the end of October. Please search for the website, and this gives more details.
