Stopped here to look at what we thought would be lovely gardens, hugely disappointed. Thankfully as NT members, we did not pay, £15 for two people to look at weeds would have been daylight robbery. As a wheelchair user, there was poor signage for disabled...More

Lovely walled garden, nice outer woodland walk. Cafe & souvenir shop a bit lacking but ok for a tea/coffee & snack. They also have plants for sale.

Although the weather was not great these were very interesting and colourful gardens. Owned by the National Trust they had a cafe for a quick snack at the end of our walk.

We visited these gardens while visiting Uplawmoor. Very nice gardens, liked it a lot and the tea room was fine. Only gave a three because I felt there was a lack of naintenance.More

Maybe this was the wrong time to visit , but I'm glad we are NTS members as I wouldn't have been impressed paying £7.50 each . The fountain wasnt on today, and the slugs have had a field day . We were advised they use...More

We have spent many lovely afternoons strolling around Greenbank Gardens, admiring the beautiful blooms, watching the bees and butterflies, and listening to the birds singing. It's a lovely way to spend a few hours, or longer if you feel like taking a book and finding...More

We visited on a sunny weekday afternoon. The first stop was the cafe for a relaxing sit down with a frothy coffee, a delicious sandwich, and a chocolate cake. Unfortunately, the house wasn’t open. Apparently, it is open for visitors on weekends but that wasn’t...More

Thanks for your lovely review. We’re pleased you enjoyed our cafe before heading into the gardens (the rain of late has been very welcome in our garden!). I’ll look into making house opening times clearer on the app, thanks for this feedback.

Having read recent reviews, we weren’t expecting great things from Greenbank Gardens but we really did have a lovely time! Yes, the gardens are tired and in much need of some TLC. The information signs seem outdated and everything looks a bit overgrown. The summer...More

This is the garden which inspired my love of plants and gardening when I first visited in the 1970's .Greenbank has deteriorated steadily in recent years with plummeting morale of long standing staff evident and consequently has lost all its former subtlety, complexity and identity...More

I can fully endorse the sentiments of the few previous comments, but I still found it an enjoyable visit. The yellowing lawns were a product of continuous sunshine for some time, and though the beds and hedges were in no way pristine, it still made...More
