Staff were very helpful. We came years ago, what a difference it is now. Great paths, suitable for everyone, AND A GRASSHOPPER WARBLER. Great. will visit again. Café excellent to and very reasonable.

We visited here after seeing it on Countryfile. We were not disappointed and walked the whole way round stopping off at the various hides.Such a variety of birds but disappointed not to see any Red Squirrels. The only charge is a voluntary car park fee....More

We visited for a half day and enjoyed walking around the reserve and stopping at all the hides to see what we could spot. Lovely cafe with fantastic views.

Views from the new centre over the lake are amazing. The cafe was welcome and reasonably priced. The site has always been good , we enjoyed our day and had a relaxing walk.I

We had our dog with us so only parked in car park today as no dogs allowed in the reserve. There are feeders around the car park and we happily watched a number of red squirrels at the feeders. The weather was awful, snow, sleet...More

An impressive upgrade to an already good reserve. Visit site each time we are in Northumberland, this is the first time since extensive upgrading works have taken place. Facility itself is very good (great views from cafeteria onto lake), but the upgrading of the hides...More
