Great place to stop for refreshments and more
Sep 2021
We ate here for a week as part of our wildlife watching holiday. Vicky and Richard were so welcoming and accommodating and they provided us with lovely tasty food everyday. All the cakes we tried were also delicious. The shop offers a good choice of reasonably priced goods and the exhibition we found to be interesting

Boring, surly staff
Sep 2021
Surly uninterested staff, exhibition not as described, hadn't even bothered to put bird food out, video playing was a BBC one seen on TV many times , shop full of tourist rat with not a local craft in sight , goodness knows how it got good reviews , I read everything in the exhibition and barely took ten minutes ,

Well worth a visit!!
Aug 2021 • Couples
An excellent facility for visitors of all ages. The exhibition area itself costs £2 per person. Don’t be put off by this - it’s well worth it, full of interesting information about the local natural history and culture, including a video screening room. The shop has a range of interesting souvenirs as well as outdoor clothing. The cafe serves really good food, reasonably priced, - a great stopping off point for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea.

Lovely meals, views and people
Jun 2021
Had meals here every day for a week as part of an organised holiday. The food was fantastic and the lovely friendly owners went out of their way to accommodate all sorts of different food requirements. Really delicious meals every time. Beautiful views from the dining area as well, and the shop has lots of lovely stuff in it. Thank you !

The visitor centre was a highlight of our stay nearby
Jun 2021
I ate here daily as part of a group on a week's stay nearby. We were provided with breakfast and dinner every night as well as a packed lunch. The food was consistently first class, and Richard and Vicky went out of their way to ensure everyone had exactly what they needed, whether it was a full Scottish breakfast complete with haggis, or a vegetarian or vegan option. Nothing was too much trouble and they even allowed us to use the small centre cinema on one particularly rainy day.
My highlights were probably the chicken pie, lasagna, and fish and chips...not forgetting the amazing crumble...but the ginger cake we had at lunch time probably topped everything. Except maybe the porridge, which everyone loved - and, and...
There were birds on the feeders outside the window, highland cattle in the field, a cosy fire and plenty of lovely gifts to choose from in the shop.
We only had a fleeting glimpse of the museum but it looked very interesting.
Richard and Vicky are obviously a vital part of the local community and have worked tirelessly at this business. They will be a very hard act to follow at the end of this, their last season.

A great place to stop in Ardnamurchan
Jun 2021
Great place to stop on the slow single track road along the south of the Ardnamurchan peninsular. Interesting exhibition on local wildlife and other aspects of the area.
Wide range of good quality gift type items.
We just had drinks at the cafe so can't comment on the food. Lovely outside seating area with views.
Highly recommended

Fab coffee with a fab view
Aug 2020
Stopped for a takeaway coffee, which was very good, but we also lingered for a few minutes on a picnic bench outside to admire the great view in the sunshine. A lovely spot and well-worth a pitstop. The cakes and menu looked good too, just sorry we weren't there for lunch! Clean loos and lots of gifts in the shop too.

Have been here many times over the years and always had delicious food. Safe to say we weren't disappointed! Can't wait to come back next year (when hopefully the living building will be open again)

Don't passby without a visit
Aug 2020
We came back to visit and as always had a warm welcome, wholesome food and much to choose from. The Centre is in a great location unpretentious, tranquil and a wonderful source of local information on this peninsula
