Lock Eck has lots of places to visit but Jubilee Point is a family fave, either to throw stones or to have a fire to cook sausages. Well worth a visit.

The thing I love about this loch is that you could walk down the far bank from one end to the other and never meet another soul

Just love this area. Nice walks all round Loch Eck with varying levels of difficulty, Shame the Coylet inn burned down as would be a useful stop.

Can only access one shore and this has a main road all the way. Busy with traffic. The weather can be completely different from that in Dunoon which is a short distance away.

The scenery around Loch Eck is breathtaking especially in the Autumn months. Lots of wild life such as red squirrels and many wild birds. The colours of the trees are so varied and the mountains spectacular.

Suggest you approach from Glenbranter if walking the Loch Eck Loop - take in Benmore on the way round and consider stopping at the Whistlefield Inn on the way back. I can't recall how long the Loop is but it's between 10 and 20 miles...More

It's a scenic drive but is just under 70 miles. Worth checking that the Rest And Be Thankful is open! Infamous for land slips. The ferry decimates the travel time, but buy tickets in advance for a huge saving. Check Western... More
