It's an interesting place to explore. You can follow a path to the cave he stayed in to build the hermitage.

Very interesting place to hike. Take the steep way up to see the carvings depicting the stations of the cross. The church is interesting to check out and the views from the top are beautiful.

The monastery is well worth touring. The building is astounding, built by Father Jerome and the home of his hermitage. Stunning view from the highest point in the Bahamas.

There are two routes up to the top of The Hermitage, a steep hilly staircase and a more moderate incline. Both bring you to the top where the 360 degree view is amazing.
