Lots of shopping, Plenty of different types of great food. Also a center stage with live music at night and a lively bar scene.

Like many markets in tourist areas, this market is full of countless stalls selling the exact same things. Interesting that all of them could be handmade and yet identical. There are some unique things you can purchase, but they are the things that would not...More

Small but colorful and sweet market. Some okay restaurants here as well. Be prepared for the hard sell at the stalls. The stall owners are aggressive. Make a deal and never pay the first price they quote you.

We went here about 25 years ago and little has changed. We weren't impressed with the port and shopping then and still aren't! Maybe next time we'll take the island tour. Maybe it's better on the other side.

The Marketplace is a hotspot. It is a drop off location for cruise ship passengers as the straw market and restaurants/bars are located here. In the evenings there may be entertainment in the Count Basie Square. We found parking was always available in the provided...More

The marketplace was a nice place to visit. The shopping was limited but good for touristy things like souvenirs. There were a couple of boutique style stores and a number of restaurants all worth sampling.

I didn't find much straw! Prices were negotiable and needs to be. Not much authenticity. See Beverly for braiding 😊. REMEMBER!!!! Everything here is imported!

I don't think most of the shops open much before 10 am...but there are lots of taxi's and taxi vans, etc at the port. Is only about a 15-20 minute trip to Port Lucaya, and I think about $10 round trip.
