The water is amazing, not very crowded and people are not rude and loud as they can be up in Grace Bay Area . People come here to enjoy nature and the beach.

The Chalk Sound is a beautiful drive with great views. I am envious of anybody who has a resort overlooking the water. We drove all the way down Chalk Sound Drive into the new-construction zone. Evidently, that part is "crown land". Locals (Belongers) are entitled...More

We drove up and down the road trying to find a road to take us to the sound for some photos. After trying numerous dirt roads we found one that took us close to the water but not with a very good view of the...More

We rented a double kayak from las brisas and went out for an hour. It was so lovely and calm and just gorgeous! It was a great afternoon excursion.

Great area to take in the beautiful sites and see some very nice homes. The water is just amazingly beautiful. Not a lot of traffic so you can really enjoy the sights. Just move over for the impatient drivers that are in a hurry.

My family of six stayed at a villa on Chalk Sound. The views were incredible. The water is such a beautiful color and it was so interesting to see all the shades of blue as the sun and clouds changed. The sound is also very...More

My recommendation: go to Las Brisas for lunch and enjoy the amazingly beautiful views of chalk sound! You can rent kayaks and stand up paddle boards directly from Las Brisas if you want an up close view!

The water was super beautiful but there just wasn’t anything to do. There was no one there which normally is nice but just felt awkward. Tried to walk out into the sound but the bottom is brutal on your feet.

Water color so intense that it looks fake. I sent my kids pics and they could not believe these vivid hues weren’t digitally enhanced. Some TCI visitors complain that the sound view from the road is too limited. A good way to have a relaxed...More

Since this is where you reside you probably know the areas well....considering renting a villa for 8 adults and 3 children and have options of Chalk Sound (which seems to have the nicest views and calmness winds?), Leeward and Iron shore (Alta Bella)..would like to be able to snorkel and kayak from property and have a beach where the little guys can play...we like to visit other areas and will have two cars but would be nice to be somewhat close to restaurants or bar where older ones can go after dinner ..doesn't look like Grace Bay is good for kayaking but I am not the expert....did a pool/beachfront in Cayman with a coffeehouse down the road...this worked well for us...also, looks like Sapodilla is across the road from Chalk Sound...feasible to kayak from Chalk Sound to there? Lots of questions but TA has slew helped me in planning past trips...any information appreciated!

I wouldn't say it's less breezy on Chalk Sound. We spent a lot of time on Taylor Bay Beach which is close to Sopadilla Bay. When we were there last month it was just as breezy on Taylor Bay as it was on Chalk Sound.
