My group of 6 just returned from a Holland America cruise that offered this railway excursion on St. Kitts. To begin with the bad part, the train broke down halfway through the trip in the middle of nowhere so we sat not knowing whether it...More

We booked this excursion through the cruise ship. It wasn't the most exciting excursion, but it was fun and interesting, and we got to see a lot of the island, some that you cannot see from a car or boat. During the ride, a very...More

Best thing to do on St Kiits. We had a great trip on this scenic railway - no visit to St Kiitts would be complete if you did not take this journey. We had a lovely trip - great scenery - great details about this...More

This was a painful shore excursion. Not the most picturesque parts of the island. The rum punch was the best part. The guide spoke constantly unless it was time for the singers to sing. The singers were good and I was glad to see them...More

The train was a nice side trip but not much of a ride. It wasn't what I expected, but the people were friendly and informative regarding the history of the island. The singers were a nice touch. Everyone that worked on the trip was friendly...More

We did this as a shore excursion whilst on our cruise and it was a fantastic afternoon. The train takes you around 18 miles and the bus around 12 miles so you get to see a fair bit of the island. Whilst on the train...More

What a wonderful way to see the countryside and learn all about a Caribbean island. The tour host provided a running commentary on the history of this beautiful island country and the railroad itself. Thirst quenching drinks provided by VERY surefooted servers made the scenic...More

The history of the train makes it appealing. It's also nice to see the rest of the island, instead of what you would immediately see in the cruise port. You do get to see several of the sugar mill ruins and some of the lush...More

Relaxing trip with adequate refreshment and friendly staff. The trip provides a different view of St. Kitts and its history. Wish it was around the entire island though.

After a few days of more rigorous excursions from a cruse ship, this morning tour of the island by way of an old sugar can railway was exactly what we needed. Our friendly and informative driver Teddy picked us up right from the port in...More
