Way too many rocks on the bottom. Too hard to walk in the water, Steep incline from beach to water. My daughter and I both rate New Jersey beaches over this one. Look elsewhere if you want a soft sandy bottom.
I much rather prefer the South Peninsula than the more busier and commercial Frigate Bay, but in this small stretch of land about 1 mile wide and 1/2 mike long, you can find everything an average tourist want: beaches, golf, casino, restaurants, cafes, entertainment, bars,......More
We picked our location well, stayed at Sugar Bay Club and enjoyed ten perfect days. very quiet place off season, the organic golf course is set between the Atlantic & Caribbean seas only a five min walk between them. Good local walks and wildlife. Lovely...More
This is a sandy beach with rocks around both ends. It has water sports centre but it can get very busy if cruise ships are in. There are plenty of bars and places to eat I can recommend the Sunset Café and the Shiggerty Shack...More
I am a student from Puerto Rico and I will live in St Kitts Castle Condo at Frigate Bay area near the St. Royal hotel. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable, very quiet and relaxing, perfect for studying.

So we didn't actually drink we just snorkelled all day - The Taxis are constantly pulling up at the bay and the guys will take you back to the ship in about 20 mins - we found the taxi driver to be really nice and told us all about the area - I did notice a little bar near to where we were snorkelling but it was not open while we were there - apparently there are much nicer beaches on+ the island but the snorkelling was second to none on Frigate bay
