We are going back to 7 mile beach in the Cayman's July 2023
We have been to 7 mile beach in the Cayman's several times and find South Bay Beach Club the best facility for the dollar. We have used at least 8 of their villa's and find them all to be clean and service is always great. They are close to bus transportation, walking to shop and right on the beach. Stunning beach
Most beautiful and picturesque beach I’ve ever been to. A rare instance where it looks even better than the pictures. Although a lot of the south end of the beach has been taken by water, the north end near public beach has lots of sand and space to chill out. Water is also usually extremely calm.

    Beautiful Seven Mile
We went to Seven Mile on a non cruise day and probably counted less than 10 people. This beach is packed with things to do for kids of all ages. There are volleyball nets, soccer nets, swing sets, children's playgrounds, lots of free parking, a food truck on one side of the parking lot, and a bbq stand set up on the other. Bathrooms on and off the beach and wash stations along with picnic tables. There are also Jet skis available for rent and Banana boats. This beach has it all

    Beautiful place!
Visited here last week while on cruise with family. Van driver dropped us off and made arrangements to pick us up. Staff at the beach was very friendly. Every time I turned around someone was trying to sell me a beer. Beach was beautiful and worth the trip.

Incredible Ocean Water and Sand. Amazing. But cruisers beware...
This place is heaven when it comes to the water and sand. Clear, aqua blue waters for as far as the eye can see. The sand is clean, fine, and not hot. There did not seem to be any shells where we were, but the dried (?) coral that washed up was really neat. I'm used to Northern Atlantic beaches. This one was so calm and clear. The water must have a ton of salt because it was so easy to float. Very very enjoyable. The ONLY reason I am giving it 4 stars is because of where we were. The beach we went to was part of a ppackage set up through a Dsney Magic cruise. They had 3 or 4 rows of beach chairs and umbrellas that were shoulder to shoulder. The first row was almost at the water line. Even though there weren't a lot of people there (we were the only cruise ship even there), it made it feel incredibly crowded. The water was great, but if you like to sit in a chair and relax, find a different spot to do it. I don't know exactly how that is done, but if you're on a cruise, make sure that wherever you are getting dropped off is worth it. What I experienced was definitely not what others did on this site, leaving me a bit disappointed that we didn't look into other options and just trusted the cruise line's suggestion/package. Also we paid for 13 chairs and 7 umbrellas and could only find 10 chairs and 5 umbrellas. It was fine because it was so clausterphobic we didn't really stay there anyway, but still... They also only had us there for 3 hours, when the itinerary made it look like it would be more like 5. Misleading.

    Expensive but worth the money
Seven Mile Beach is a combination of luxurious boutique hotels resorts and residences, coupled with some mid- level hotels, timeshare properties and restaurants. Avoid the Marriott Grand Cayman until it’s renovation is complete. The remainder of the properties along this corridor possess varying degrees of luxury so caveat emptor. You do get exactly what you’ve paid for. If you’re trying to stay on the low end money wise-go elsewhere. Cayman itself is very expensive.

Beautiful beach and water made for a relaxing day
A very beautiful beach. We went to Public Beach on 7 mile and it did not disappoint with its beauty. The water is crystal clear and calm and the sand is gorgeous. There are volleyball nets with a lot of activity around them. There isn't much shade along the beach but a nice place to have a relaxing beach day there.

    A nice beach day
The sand is amazing and the water clear enough! A lot of food options from local small businesses. We could rend chairs and umbrellas for 25$ per set. Overall a good experience

    Great beach area
White sandy beach as far as your eyes can see. The coral sand and sparkling turquoise water is a must see. Lots of food trucks and vendors selling jerk chicken and pork as well as suveniers.

    Plagued yet pretty
We’ve visited many times and were disappointed seeing the sea grass problems that have gotten worse on the South side of Grand Cayman, such as Seven Mile resort/Hampton Inn. Many Seven Mile beach resorts lost all access to the sea due to mountains of sea grass, except West of Coral Beach. I don’t even know if catamarans depart at the usual spots like Marriott; the waters were choppy with big waves at the Westin. Across the street at Mini Mart was Captain Marvin’s tourist counter for people who don’t have a car and wanted to go to Turtle Farm or snorkeling sites. There isn’t tons to do on Seven Mile, but the lovely view and hotel bars along Seven Mile make up for it. Bring cash for a cabana or tip, and join the walkers on the sand. Who said fitness is boring?!

A not too bad beach , no real places to drink or eat there unless you’re at a resort. Not in the same league as Aruba .
Pros are just a short taxi ride from the cruise port .

We started walking from the cruise port and then ended up taking a public bus to Seven Mile Beach. The beach was clean and nice but crowded. There were some food and drink vendors as well as beach chair and umbrella rentals as you approached. The beach area also had some playgrounds (separate ones) for the kids.

This is probably the best beach in the entire world! We parked our rental at the governors house beach parking, and parked our chairs. I recommend staying clear of the Westin or any other chained hotel.

Best place to watch a sunset for sure.

Absolutely gorgeous clear water and beautiful soft sand. If you’re a clear water ocean person, this beach rivals St John, USVI, Grace Bay, Turks and Caicos, and the like. Can’t wait to return!

Been going to Seven Mile Beach for a number of years. Truly beautiful waters and beaches. Over the years there has been some noticeable shrinking of the beaches as water levels have continued to rise. With the popularity of the beach, there has been an exponential increase in the number of condos and hotels all along the beach. Still nice place to vacay if you want all the amenities in close proximity and don't mind the crowds.

Gorgeous water, but just a tad too congested once the cruisers arrive! Water is packed with people. Two chairs and an umbrella are $30 US not bad but, a 12 oz pina coloda is $20US! It was great for a one day experience, but then we chose to stay on the south end of SMB outside of our Airbnb for no crowds and convenience!

I stayed at The Seven Miles Beach Resort and was disappointed to find out that the beach had washed away the year before. The closest beach of any size was over 3 kms away. This was not disclosed by the resort in their literature. Therefore I would not agree that it is one of the best beaches in the Caribbean.
I would also warn people that The Grand Cayman is extremely expensive because there is a 30 percent tax placed on everything that is imported.
The snorkeling and scuba diving is great and there are some beautiful beaches but there are better such as Eagle Beach in Aruba. The island is also not as expensive for dining.
