There is nothing strenuous about the walk. As with many of the sights, it is up to you as to how long you wish to stay. There are guides to take you around the garden to point out the various fauna that is there. There is a hot springs house if you wish to soak but it is not really that luxurious looking. The water has all sorts of minerals that make the water look murky fresh from the falls. My understanding is there is filtration before going into the bath house. I found it interesting to see the various types of native plants that grow on the island there.
