    Soft and hot.
We had a great time. The spring IS hot and it might make you not want to go in. But, once you break through that initial barrier, you get used to it and it feels nice. We went later in the afternoon and most people had left or were leaving, so we did not experience a crowd as mentioned in some of the other reviews. I think having a personal driver/guide helped. I saw someone complain about a stained bathing suit. Well, I say - don't put mud on clothing. Once you get to your hotel and see some staining, hand wash it. It WILL come off. A round of laundry when you get back will make it look brand new, so worries if you only follow some basic steps. The skin really feels a lot softer afterward. The steam coming from the volcano is amazing to witness.

    Well worth a visit
Very interesting visit, guides really knowledgeable and informative, whether you’ve visited similar sites in the past, it’s a must see place. You can tailor your visit to a drive through and guided tour (about 15/20 minutes for the guide) and there are places to get a drink, buy souvenirs and also toilets. Also you can take a mud bath - and you soon get used to the sulphur smell! Sellers can be a bit pushy but they’re only trying to make a living, we found the same products on sale everywhere (mostly made in china it seems!).

    Volcanic scenery and chocolates
Great views, trip highlights were: There are various places to stop for photos. Impressive Pitons mountains and the volcano from the distance. Visited the volcano and mud baths. We tried local fresh seafood at Soufriere beach, it was really good at the small shops. Visited the Chocolate factory Visited the waterfalls and tried local Spice rum(try all flavors)

Check it off your bucket list and it’s a must do experience.
Leaves your skin feeling smooth :) Don’t book through your hotel. Find a driver on FB group for much cheaper and pay when you get there. The Sulphur Springs smells but that’s expected, you don’t need water shoes. Don’t bring anything valuable bc they don’t have locked lockers. But bring cash if you want souvenirs and water. Gave 4 stars bc it’s quick and not that fun but a thing you need to do

    Lots of fun
Place was awesome. We had a very knowledgeable tour guide who explained all about the volcano. The mud bath was fun but ruined our bathing suites. Would recommend wearing an old suit that you might want to throw away when finished.

So much fun and very relaxing.
What a brilliant experience! We had so much fun. First we walked through the beautiful botanical gardens and then onto the sulphur and mud springs. After soaking in the hot springs (which give eternal youth of course….) we painted each other with the white and black mud before showering off. Lots of fun, relaxing and one not to be missed.

    The earlier the better
After hiking Petit Piton, the Sulphur Springs are a great place to relax, and unwind my muscles. The hot springs itself open pretty early at around 6 o’clock and close pretty late at around 10 PM. However, if you want to do the tour, it only starts at around 9 AM and ends at around 5 PM. Most of the locals arrive very early and depart before the tours come. It is highly recommended that you arrive as early as you can for the cool weather later in the day, it can be pretty hot and crowded. This is definitely highlight when visiting St. Lucia

    Worth the visit.
Mud bath was a fun experience and thankfully we had a private driver who ensure we arrived before the crowds. After the mud bath, we had a private tour of sulfur springs and our guide was very knowledgeable and overall it was a good experience. Be sure to wear a dark swim suit for the mud bath.

Sulfur hot springs bath, mud bath and waterfall
We stopped here as part of a full day catamaran tour with Carnival tours, local company not the cruise line that we booked through our resort Windjammer Landing. It’s a popular spot so it’s a bit of an assembly line to get the experience. But if you forget that it was really very cool. The sulfur springs are smelly, but it should be expected, because it’s sulfur! There are two types of mud, one that is fairly liquidy and gray with some grit for exfoliation. The second mud is very thick and black and is used to make decorations on top of the grey mud. You rinse off in the spring. The spring is hot, like a hot tub around 100F. In our tour our next stop was the local waterfall which is on the cool side and pretty powerful, fun refreshing way to rinse some more mud off. Along the way through both places our tour crew used our phones to take video and photos.

Nice combination of quick tour and chill out
We drove here ourselves just following the sign from the main road. Easy to find and plenty of parking. As you arrive, you drive up to the ticket booth if you want the combined experience of the drive in vulcano and mud bath. With your ticket, you then drive on for appr 300m, park your car and walk up to the tour guides (included in the price). Because we drove ourselves we managed to arrive before the minibuses and had a tour guide just for the two of us. Whilst the tour was nor particularly ground breaking, it was interesting to learn a bit more about the geology of the area. The tour took about 20 minutes and after that you drive your car back to the main car park for the mud baths. There are changing rooms and showers. You are advised to remove any silver jewellery due to the slightly acidic waters effects on them. Unfortunately, I was wearing an underwired bikini and it did permanently stain it. The pools vary slightly in temperature from app. 40 degrees Celsius to 35 with the lowest being the coolest. If I were to do this again, I would come in the evening as it is very relaxing and would be nice to go to bed straight after. Overall, a great little attraction if you can get there either before or after the main crowds.

The visit was part of our land and see adventure. It was a lot of fun, it actually felt good to get in the hot water. After I rinsed off the mud, my skin felt so soft. In my opinion the mud bath is a must. Only problem is it gets busy, very busy, tonight want to visit on a day that has no cruise ships at the port, because everyone goes there and groups are big. Our guide drew with darker mud on top of the light one and we got some awesome pictures. Also when they advised you to wear dark clothing, please take that advice. The mud itself washes off easily, but there is that residue that doesn't, it leaves orange pinkish stain s on your clothes and sometimes on your bathing suite, those stains don't wash off. Also you can't really get the residue off your skin there nor at the waterfall (the water there is pretty cold) the only way is to scrub it off with soap and a wash cloth

This was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip! They do not book tickets online & you do NOT have to book this through a tour company. You can just show up & it only costs $10 US each to enter the mud baths or I think it was about $30 US each for the mud baths & volcano tour combo, which is what we did. Our tour guide for the volcano tour was very knowledgeable & funny. The staff at the mud baths were great & painted a pic of the Titons on my husband's back in the dark mud. (We gave him a tip) They were happy to take pics for us. The mud made our skin feel so smooth! The mud is in buckets & you dip your hands in it & paint it on your skin, take pics, then there are about 6 pools of hot water that you can soak in & wash the mud off. We enjoyed sitting in the pools even though they are very hot. They have cold showers you can rinse off in after you are done soaking & they also have changing rooms. Get there early! There were only about 5 couples when we arrived ar 9 am, but when we left about 10 am, it was packed with tour groups from resorts. There was a picnic table near the pools that I left our bag on, but they had shelves near the showers you could use too.

We went to the sulphur springs not knowing what to expect. It turned out not only to be informative (we did the combo) the tour & mud baths. The tour was extremely interesting and we all learned things about the island that we did now t know and it was only apx 20 minutes (great guide) then we had a lot of fun at the baths. We decided that it was the most fun we had on the trip and if we returned to the island we would do it again. Well worth the cost of admission which was very reasonable and the shower area was clean and your skin does feel amazing after

If you've never done this before I would recommend it. This was my third mud bath but my first in Saint Lucia. The pools are divided up and you are timed on how long you get in each. Closest to stream is the hottest, second less hot, and because it's further downstream 3rd warm. While the water is murky gray you actually spread the sulphur mud on from 5 gallon buckets an emploee has placed around. Employees are extremely helpful, hospitable and will take pictures for you with your phone. We left our belongings on a picnic table and there was a large crowd but it was still very safe. Highly recommend you go as soon as it opens because once the tour buses start arriving this is a very busy place. Try and wear a dark suit or if possible an old suit though once I got home sulfur and discoloration washed out. Takes at least 1 hour.

You get in the 100’ water before you put the mud (found in buckets beside the water) on. It takes about 15 mins before the mud dries, then you get back into the hot water to wash it off. The water is relaxing and it does leave your skin nice and soft.
There are showers (don’t work that well) and changing rooms for after you have finished.
It costs us$10 for the springs alone or us$15 if you want to climb the volcano.

The tour of the volcano itself was short (approx 15-20mins with a guide that comes with the ticket price) but informative - as people are no longer allowed to go onto the volcanic plains near the bubbling mud pools, you're only able to stand and view from a distance. Oh, and don't forget its going to smell too, as sulphur just stinks!

The main attraction, however, is the volcanic mud baths - 4 bubbling pools of graduating heat/temperature. No time limit to how long you can be there, mud and clay (black and light grey) is provided in buckets for you to apply onto your skin and you can literally sit and chill for as long as you like! My skin felt amazing afterwards and it was pleasant experience. Cold showers and basic wooden changing rooms are provided.

Visited as part of an all day tour (see review of Cosol tours). There were 10 of us in the minibus and 6 opted for the mud bath while the rest of us did the volcano. Seeing the boiling mud and steam was fascinating and our guide was a local who was really knowledgeable. The group who did the mud bath also had great fun.

We visited the mud baths as part of a wider tour from our hotel which also included the volcano and the diamond botanical gardens. The mud baths are good. There are about 3 or 4 small pools of hot muddy water to bathe in. There is also an experience where you can put light grey mud all over your body and then black mud handprints on top which looks quite funny. It wasn’t too busy when we visited but the staff only allowed us in for about 15mins because of covid which was fair enough. Wear old and dark swimwear that you don’t care about because it will be stained by the mud and the iron in the water. Our skin and nails also went orange from the iron. I think the site would be better to visit on your own by hire car if possible because when you have a guide it becomes a bit too touristy and you’re told where to go and how long to take etc. There are quite a few stalls outside with locals selling souvenirs.

I went with my husband, mother, and my 15 months baby, it was a great experience. We pay for the combo which means tour guide of the volcano and the mud bath, the guide was very nice and did an amazing explanation of the volcano history. The mud bath was so relaxing, I was so worry of my bathing suit before doing it, as many locals told me to go with a clothing that I could end up throwing, and not even was necessary, I could take off all the mud with the water, which was great. I enjoy a lot and hope to return someday soon!

As a group staying locally in a Villa, we decided to just turn up one day, without booking through a tour/guide.

Due to this, we didn’t really get any information about which springs to get into first, when to put the mud on etc. However, the other groups were so friendly and their guides kept us right. I think the staff thought we were part of a group!
Your skin does feel very soft afterwards, and it seems to help those who have sunburnt skin!
Enjoyed our experience.
