Seen this listed on Trip Advisor and visited it for the first time while docked from a cruise. Beautiful street! Definitely worth the walk there and back!

This street ends in La Fortaleza, house of governors, currently Ricardo Roselló. Many clothing stores, restaurants and bars. It crosses El Cristo Street where there is El Cristo Chapel and The Doves Park. El Cristo chapel was built after an alleged miracle performed many years...More

Just one of many shops in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico on Fortaleza Street! Wholecarea is a “must go & see” and experience foods and art! Rich in history!

If you are not looking to buy jewelry or maybe tobacco there’s nothing much else to offer. Seems to cater to cruise ship travelers in town for the day.

Interesting shops, history, spectacular pastel colors, cobblestone streets. Worth the walk, as are all of the streets in OSJ. Be prepared to climb some hills if you spend the day. We went twice.

The street is very festive and fun. They have an umbrella exhibit that is really pretty to see and it's easy to walk there from the cruise port. It's near or attached to the mayor's house near the fort. Worth a look.

the walk from fortaleza Street to the cruise port is 10 minutes and all downhill. there are a few steps to navigate but the scenery makes for a pleasant walk ... even dragging a large suitcase.
