This is the heart of San Juan. Have your walking shoes ready. There are lots of restaurants, bars, shops, and street vendors all over the city. If you're staying in the Condado area, Old San Juan is literally a few minutes away.

Don’t leave Puerto Rico until you explore Old San Juan. The history, forts, cobble stone street, restaurants, outlet stores and the famous bakery Bombonera for a guava turnover! Barrachina restaurant where the piña colada was invented is a must!

If you're into history, this place will wow you. Beautiful architecture, check. Romantic resturants and rows of vendors and boutiques to shop around. Even a leisurely walk will work up a thirst. Luckily, there is a pina colada around every corner.😉

I was hesitant to take our young children, ages seven, five, and three, but we had an awesome time! I felt safe and the experience was authentic! We loved the Spanish influences and history!!
