    Highly recommend
Loved this beach! Gorgeous water and sand that you could enjoy without getting haggled by vendors. The taxi was $7 a person from the ferry. The taxi driver 'Teddy Bear' is shady and tried to make people pay more to go to a different beach with 'cheap drinks'. He then tried double charging per person but we stood out ground and said it was only $7 a person not $14. George, our bartender at the beach, was awesome and very friendly. He recommended some great options for lunch and all the food was very reasonably priced. We had the cab driver 'Sugar Daddy' on the way back - HIGHLY RECOMMEND! He was honest, funny and had the whole van singing and answering trivia questions.

Really nice beach, one minute from our hotel, very clean, attentive wait staff, good food! Gentle enough for small kids, beautiful water. You pay to get in here, but it is worth it to be away from the hawkers!

    Beautiful Beach
So this beach is beautiful, sand to the water, it gorgeous! The reason for the 4 stars is it was so unbelievably crowded the day we were there, barely any room. We spent most of the time in the water due to no room to lay out. We did order drinks which took forever, as well as food, but I felt bad for the bartenders, they were slammed! It was impressive to see how fast they were putting orders out, I guess they are used to all the people. My group was a part of an excursion so we were only there for a few hours. I will warn you, once you step foot off the bus in front of the entrance, weed sellers are the first to get to you! I think there was a guy selling fish heads too lol. Once you in the beach area, no one really bothers you.

Beach Day for the Grand Kids
It wasn't huge, but it did allow the grandkids to play in the Ocean. It had a bouncy toy, and the sand and beach was clean and no seaweed or debris. We rented 4 loungers and 2 umbrellas for the family. All four loungers were worn out and you are sitting on metal :(. Umbrellas were large and no complaints there. No one waits on you while on the beach. My daughter had to go into an ally way to find any food (Jerk Chicken for $31.00 for two pieces). Bathrooms were clean but hot. A lady was braiding hair in there and made it very crowded. Make sure you find a Taxi with RTB ( not 100% on the initials) but, the taxi needs to be able to be license to take you into the port.

    Great beach… but smoky!!
Great beach enjoyed everything except the bar area. No smoking signs are posted but you can’t enjoy food or drinks without feeling smoked out. Chain smoking from multiple people was just too much for me. Headache received!!

    Outrageous food wait
We waited for 5 hours for food- 1 hour of waiting for the staff to come to us. 2 hours of chasing our waitress and 2 hours of customer service issues. It was quite ghetto! After leaving, my taxi driver said that aggressive people are rewarded in this place. Beautiful beach… well-appointed but was crammed pack and hubby and I didn’t feel safe leaving our belongings unsupervised on the beach. It’s a good place for couples or large families (who cover each other)… not so cool for small families with young children (on a busy day).

    Great Beach Central Location ⛱️
Nice gated paid beach costing $8 per person and $7 per chair and umbrella. Even with the cost the beach gets pretty busy. There is access to Starbucks from the beach side, but good luck getting service. The beach has drinks and food service on the beach as well as a nice bar and restaurant area if you want to take a break. Leave your towel on the chairs to save your space. You can get a hand stamp if you want to leave and come back. Great relaxing day out. Still keep track of your belongings, just because it's safe does not mean it's pickpocket free

Great option for a visit while on a cruise
Family of four (13 & 8) chose to come here during a DCL stop in Falmouth. We looked at lots of options and this was one of the best we found for us. It was a 45 minute drive with a chartered driver each way, but it was worth it to us. As there were nonships in Montego Bay the beach was not crowded, but our server did tell us that the day before it was packed and would have been a different experience for us. The water was beautiful and the beach was clean. Entry, lounger and umbrella are $7 each. Food and drinks were very reasonably priced and delicious. We enjoyed the fish fritters, jerk chicken and fish tacos. There are three floating trampolines to use and the snorkeling at either boat pier was a nice option. We were very happy we made the trip to this beach as we hadn't had the best experiences to Jamaica before this. Would definitely go again if we ever port in Falmouth again.

I want to go back, I want to go, I want to go back!! This beach was clean and beautiful and I have nothing but nice things to. We went two days in a row and besides the river falls this beach was the best thing about our trip to Jamaica!!

Beautiful beach.. $8 each plus extra for sun loungers/ umbrellas etc Not allowed to take food and drink in according to the sign and no ball games. We had some pop in our bag and did drink that but seen mixed reviews of not a problem taking own and some say been approached by staff. We went in the afternoon and was pretty quiet. Taxi from Riu MBay hotel was $40 return for me and hubby and the $8 each entrance. Enjoyed it..

Beautiful beach with all the necessary amenities.
Beach chairs, umbrellas and flotation devices available for rent for adults and children. We had lots of fun on the water trampoline. It's also a plus that there were lifeguards on duty.
We also enjoyed the food from the restaurant.

Visited from London Doctor’s Cave to meet friends. Beach is stunning food is lovely. However there was an extremely rude man working as security that was very abusive and unprofessional. Shouted at my friend for not signing me in as a member. Continued to argue with us even when we said he was being rude and no need to act that way. Unacceptable way to speak to a customer. Left a bad experience for us so we won’t be retuning or signing up for membership because of this man.

This beach was only a few minute ride from the cruise terminal, which was why we picked it, and it seemed to have good reviews. The beach was somewhat crowded, but really not too bad. Unfortunately we got there a little late and they ran out of umbrellas and lounge chairs and we had to settle for regular upright beach chairs, but we got lucky that the day was somewhat cloudy and were also set up underneath some palm trees so we got a fair amount of shade. The beach was very pleasant, it looked nice, and was very clean, and the restroom facilities were also in good shape. we didn't eat much of the food, but what we had was OK.

PS: I recommend you walk 1/4 mile down the road from here and eat at Island Wingz, that place was fantastic!

I have been coming to Doctors Cave since 2010 and never had an issues until now. My family friends are local members and we have always come to the beach at 7am for the last 14 years when I have been in the country. Today when we went as normal they said because I am not a member, even though I was a registered guest of a member, I was not able to access the beach until after 830am and must wait outside while everyone else could go in. This policy, which they claim has always been in place, is false as I have never had an issue for the last 14 years. This new staff is rude, dismissive and when pushed back on the policy they have no answer. I have always loved DCBC and promoted it but until they change mangement and the rest of their staff who know how to treat people with respect and decency I will not be coming back nor will anyone I know be renewing their membership.

Management has changed this beach so much. You feel like you’re in jail vs vacation. Cost for every single thing is icing on the cake. I was harassed by the security girl (Ms Wright) as soon as I walked in the gate. I guess she didn’t like the way I looked? Her managers (one named Ms Minor) were nothing but rude and distasteful. Huge change from America and how we deal with people. Staff on the beach hate their jobs because they are paid so poorly but yet don’t have time to better their own lives. There was no lifeguard at the far end of the beach because of cost cutting. I saw a young child jump off the pier and almost hit her head (hate to think of ending up in a Jamaican hospital). Save your money and go to negril where 7 MILE BEACH is and ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! Literally the most beautiful beach in Jamaica. The locals are amazing and you can get some great souvenirs on the beach. Go where people care about people. Doctors cave management needs to change or they won’t have any members or people. Explore Jamaica and not this beach. Take my word!

I would advise against visiting Doctors Cave Beach due to challenges with accessibility. Today, my driver incurred a fine while attempting to pick up my family and I. Despite my presence beside a police officer as I coordinated the pickup, my driver was issued a ticket. The incident occurred when my driver yielded to a departing bus and occupied the vacated parking space. Regrettably, the officer abused her authority, claiming impunity in enforcing unjustified regulations. Therefore, unless you plan to navigate the Hip Strip on foot, I do not recommend driving to Doctors Cave Beach due to potential inconveniences.

Doctors Cave beach was amazing! Its clean, safe and the water is crystal clear. I don't know how much it costs to go in because we stayed at the all inclusive Deja Hotel across the street and beach was included.

Staff on the beach were helpful and working. Put up the orange flag and someone will come over and take orders from the menu.

Because you have to pay to go in there are only one or two vendors
politely walking around selling fruits and beads. A man has a stall selling the sweetest jelly coconut.

Ive spent time on many a Jamaican beach and Doctors Cave is by far the best. I was with my sister on this occasion but I'm often a solo traveller in JA. I will definitely enjoy Doctors Cave next time I'm on my own. I felt comfortable to leave my bags covered but unattended and go in the water.
They have toilets.
Would definitely recommend.

Nice little beach, just off the "Hip Strip" It is definitely not 5 miles long, more like 500 metres. Took about 10 minutes to walk from one end to the other. The water trampoline was fun! Deep, clear water. $65 Canadian for entry, 3 beach chairs, and an umbrella. The beach is shared at one end by the S hotel. Not what I was expecting. I guess we can say, we've been there!

Expensive day!!! if you pay entrance fee, chair, umbrella and food/ refreshments . Dropping $100 USD for a day at the beach.
Recommend: drive a little further for a free day at the beach!
