Don’t be scared by the 572 steps. They are a challenge however the summit is the prize. Take your time. Go for sunrise for a special treat. Or sunset. Don’t go in middle of day. But well worth the 15-25 minute ascent depending on your...More

We opted to go at sunrise to beat the heat and any 'crowd' that might be there later in the day. There were probably 5 other people there at the same time up top and we passed 2 people on the way down so I...More

Stairs all the way up. Had to stop a few times and check out the views (and yes, catch my breath). Not too many people. Great views at the top!

Long hike but was worth it. The view is amazing and you can see Venezuela. We saw goats along the way lounging.

It is a pity that good stairs have been created but no good platform at the top to get a real good view of the Island. So it was disappointing to see what was at the top after climbing these 600 steps.

A definite early morning hike. Easy steps to the top. Had some great places to take photos. We took a taxi, was kind of expensive but she had to wait for us to come back down. No other way back into town.

No snakes that we saw - a few bugs -and a quick rain shower. Not a volcano just a high hill on the island. Best tackled early in the day or late afternoon.
