This used to be one of the best beaches in Antigua and Barbuda. Although it still attracts people of all ages, especially on Labour Day and early morning sea-bathers , the elements seem to have taken its toll. Recent storms have displaced much of its...More

Stopped for a quick walk as we visited Fort James. This is one of the better beaches that we visited on the island. Nice soft sand and you can walk out quite a ways as it's shallow. There wasn't a lot of people as there...More

My wife and I like to rent a car and visit as many local beaches as we can while we're here. Some of them are hard to get to, but they're all so perfect. We visited Fort Bay on a Monday and we were literally...More

Easily accessible, clean and spacious. It is a lovely place to spend time at. Even including a walk around Fort James, built to protect the harbour. There are enough bars to cater for food and drink, and even at busy times, the area is big...More

a long white beach with plenty of shady areas. Several good bars with facilities, and very safe. One of the best beaches on Antigua.

Was told Fort James beach was as nice as the most popular Fryes Beach (longer cab ride and higher fare) so we tried it. This actually sits on the other side of Fort Bay which is the fort that protected the harbor we just entered....More

A lovely quiet beach with a small bar/restaurant, stopped here at the end of an island bike tour. Drinks were a bit overpriced but you are on the beach so its expected, food was lovely

Great beach 30mins walk from town. Would definitely recommend to anyone. We lived along Fort road for months and never had any problems in Antigua. Exercise common sense as you would living in any country and you will have a great time.

Yes the drivers are very good. We arranged a return pick up time and the driver was ready and waiting. Good price as well.
