Very impressive mountains, and beautiful landscape. It is a bit difficult to get to - it's easiest to organize everything in Ambalavao. We went with Juvence trek (jrrjuvence9@gmail.com), who organized tents, local guide and food. We spent three days in Andringitra, hiking Pic Boby. It...More

We stayed for 3 nights in Camp Catta which is a nice place with friendly staff. Though the true hero of our stay was Fidelis, one of the local guides in the Tsaranoro valley. We had a wonderful dayhike with him and he truly is...More

Andringitra National Park features on few itineraries, yet I consider the Diavolana circuit to be one of the most beautiful mountain walks I have ever done. At its highest point, around 2,000m, the landscape takes on a Disneyland quality, with rock-gardens of colourful succulents against...More

During our 3 weeks in Madagascar, we spent 3D/2N in this park. It can be expensive and more planning to get the trip organized but it was all worthy at the end! We saw no other tourists during our 3 days hiking in the park!...More

We were travelling by motorbike so just showed up at the west park office early in the morning that we wanted to trek, and arranged a guide. There's certainly plenty of guides to go round for the small number of tourists. We did an 8...More

We have never experienced any other place that was so beautiful with nature and people. Our guide, Arson Hajae was quite knowledgeable and patient with us as we took in all the beauty. He spoke English well. We hiked on the mountains, along the lower...More

Due to its remote location and fewer visitors, you will most likely enjoy a private trek in a beautiful and tranquil mountain valley full of rare endemic species. Bonus is a sunrise summit to the highest reachable top of Madagascar, Pic Imarivolanitra (translates close to...More

Despite hoping to do some hiking well within the Parc National de l’Andringitra it became obvious that this option was not readily available to us from our accommodation at Tsara Camp (which has jaw dropping views of the huge rock faces across rice paddies). What...More

We hiked here as part of a 3-day trek to Pic Boby with a group in August 2018. The drive to the National Park from Ambalavao was a 4-hour ordeal over a very rutty 4WD track but that was soon forgotten as we started hiking...More
