A charming gallery which came as a kind of bonus to our visit to the gardens. You're overwhelmed by the quantity of paintings but take time to look at the building,

Few visitors make the effort to come to this stunning gallery where the walls are completely lined with paintings by the eponymous artist. It is unique. The Sherwood gallery next door is stunning too.

What an amazing place. The walls are chock full of gorgeous, colourful paintings of exotic plants and insects. A short film (7 minutes) gives an overview of the life of this remarkable woman. It's free, once you are inside the Botanical Gardens.

Marianne North was a trail blazing women artist who should be celebrated. This gallery is built around her work and is a real gem.

I never fail to be lost for words when I visit the Marianne North gallery. At a time when women in general had very little options, opportunities or power this Victorian lady travelled, over the course of 15 years, to 5 continents and 17 countries...More

Any time is a good time, but keep in mind that Kew Gardens, where it is located, attracts many tourists so I would stay away from the summer months. As for parking, I take the tube so I really don't know.
