Just a short distance from the centre of Praid a well laid out walk of around 1.2km each way. A well marked path shows the original mine entrance, salt formations and some very nice scenery. We found the best rocks right at the end! We...More

i really cannot judge if this place was better 10 years ago or not. The difference is that in the recent past there have been some efforts done to make the place more turistic, meaning that some indicators are now placed, some setup has been...More

We always visit the canyon when we go to the salt mine. It's beautiful and not something that you see everyday, the salt literally covering parts of the hills. The landscape of the hills, the woods and the little river is beautiful.

We like the walking for one hours seeing the salt mountain and transformations happened during passage of time. Can be done by kids as well.

Despite the advertising, the area is not so big, in fact is very small but intense. The Salt Mountain, the salt creek and the salt depositions are very interesting and beautiful.

The first part of the path is not too attractive, but after it this is interesting and pretty nice. You can see the salt out of the hills, in many formation. The wildlife is very natural, the plants and butterflies all around. At the last...More

You can walk about two hours, Unfortunately there are poor improvements. For example the bridge over the river is broken so you cannot finish the ofiicial circuit. We had to use our GPS to return safely in Praid without using the same route.

Very nice walk on a sunny November day, it's unbelievable to see a salt mountain on the outside. You can go up for a nice view.
