This monument is so simple but the words are compelling. You cannot fail but to be moved by what it stands for and the freedom you have because of what it stands for.

Personally, I would have preferred the beach to be left the way it was then, with no adoration. The shining metal blades emerging from the sands are, however, awe inspiring.
