The station itself has such a lot of history, and is an amazing structure. we'd gone to see a steam train come through and we werent disappointed. The cafe is amazing, the breakfast is to die for. Brilliant atmosphere.

Very nice café selling reasonably priced drinks and snacks, plus postcards and some railway related items. You can get useful information here about train times and nearby attractions too.

Hellifield Station is the normal stop for steam trains to take on water in preparation for the Settle Carlisle, so it gives you an opportunity to photograph engines at rest

Sign by the road said the cafe was open. It wasn't. I hate It when this happens as I didn't have time to trudge back into Hellifield before my train arrived.
