A beautiful park and nice hike outside of the city. It can be very very hot in the summer- go in the spring or fall for the best views. Nice place to stay if you want to do an overnight.

What tastes amazing after hiking the trails all day? Dinner at Skyland! They actually offer a Thanksgiving dinner that is tender and tasty. That was my choice. And the view is like no other. You feel like you are on top of the world. Because...More

We really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were large with two queen beds and we were able to get connecting rooms which was a bonus travelling with kids. The rooms are dated, to be sure, but we expected that. The beds are not the most...More

Have stayed at Skyland countless times over the years and love it more each time we go. Staff has been very accommodating. Menus at the restaurant offer a good choice. We just love the peace and solitude with nature and just unwinding.

If you're driving along Skyline Drive, Skyland is good stop. There's a lodge with a restaurant but also a great place to have a picnic too (the view is great!). There are restrooms and several trails leave from here.

We stopped for lunch at the restaurant at this cabin resort in Shenandoah National Park. The views from the deck are spectacular and the lush forest is very calming. It looks like it would be a nice place to stay in the park. The restaurant...More

We stayed in one of the 'lodges' in a room with two queen beds. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. There was a nice porch in the back with two chairs and a table and a beautiful view of the sunset over the mountains....More
