My brother and I have hiked this trail many times. We are in decent shape and hike frequently. Between trailhead and falls, Rainbow Falls Trail gains about 1,500' in elevation. The 5.4 mile roundtrip hike is rated moderate in difficulty however for the average person...More

Rainbow falls trail is not a "moderate" trail as it's rated. Rated at 8.77 it's a lot more strenuous than "moderate". Had a good time, but a tough trail for a 1st time hiker.

We are in shape and workout frequently, but this is somewhat of a tough hike. It’s uphill to the waterfall. It took us around 3 hours total hike time. Coming down required much less effort and allowed you to enjoy the view more than going...More

Let me start off by saying we are not in great shape. Now that that is out of the way... this is a very beautiful hike. I recommend it to anyone wanting to go deep into the woods and see a beautiful waterfall. We struggled...More

Great hike...GPS said 5.6 miles round trip....the 1st half was uphill...the uphill is strenuous but not difficult...the waterfall was beautiful probably the best in the park...definitely worth the 4 hours to hike up, pause and take a moment to take in Rainbow Falls, and then...More

This was definitely a tough hike but very pretty scenery. The falls were well worth it. Would recommend for sure.

Plan to spend at least 2 hours, more if you rest frequently. The trail includes climbing over rocks and across streams as well as flat broad areas of path with gentle, moderate and very sterp inclines. It is varied enough to where you can catch...More
