A scenic drive through the lower areas of the mountains. Plenty of areas to pull over and take in the views. Parts run next to a river and by a few open fields with possible elk spotting.

If you want to see the beauty of God’s work, this is a must see trip! Make sure you have your camera and be ready to ooh & ahh! It is so worth the traffic you might experience on the way to the Newfound Gap!

The road should not be an issue except for the tunnels and I am not sure about the height restrictions. It is a nice road and has recently been repaved. There can be heavy traffic at times also.
