We really enjoyed the trail, there is so much beauty along it. We frequently stopped and got out to explore. This is a free trail which is also an added bonus.

I have driven on this road a few times. It is easy to get to-right off of the parkway in Gatlinburg. This time there were several waterfalls you could see right from the car. It is a very pretty drive!!

We love white water. This is one of the best drives ever. We travel a lot and have not had a better trip through the mountains following these lovely rivers. On every turn there is a new surprise, either rushing water, great mountain views or...More

Wanted to make sure we did authentic TN/Smoky Mtn experiences while in Pigeon Forge -- tried not to get sucked into the Parkway tourist traps! I am SO GLAD we did this motor trail. We attempted the Grotto Falls hike, but with a 1-yr old...More

Always a beautiful easy loop drive. Go slow and keep watch for the wildlife. This time we went at dusk and saw a black bear digging around some fallen trees. There are lots of places to pull over and observe or park and take a...More

While visiting the Gatlinburg area we looked for some outdoor nature activities that did not require hiking. This motor nature trail was perfect because we could stop along the way and get out to take pictures or just enjoy the scenery. Walking trails are available...More

One of the shorter trips up to see views. Took a cancer patient her first trip to the mountains and it was just enough for her. On busy days traffic can get long. I recommend going early seems like there is more wildlife movement. At...More

it's heavily wooded, there are deep gullies on some sections of the road. I am not sure if this helps, if you are fearful about driving off a cliff, you need not worry.
